Just in time for World Water Day on 22 March 2025, Endress+Hauser has launched this year's Endress+Hauser Water Challenge. The initiative aims to improve access to clean water in disadvantaged areas and raise awareness of the global water crisis. The proceeds will be used to support the Hibemandla Primary School in Lillydale, South Africa.
Water is life – but in many parts of the world, access to clean water is still a daily fight. This is where the Endress+Hauser Water Challenge comes in. Launched in 2019, the global initiative aims to provide disadvantaged people with access to clean water and raise awareness of the global water crisis.
Endress+Hauser’s company-wide fundraising campaign is taking place again this year. Employees get together in teams to get active – whether that’s through cycling, walking or swimming. For every kilometre covered, employees donate a certain amount, which is doubled by the company. This time, the money will be used to improve the water supply at Hibemandla Primary School. This promotes health, hygiene and educational opportunities throughout the community.
In Reinach, Switzerland, for example, colleagues from all local Group companies want to get together in May to hike, jog and cycle to the nearby summit of the Gempen. ‘The Endress+Hauser Water Challenge brings people together. The shared experience is fun – and at the same time we are contributing to a good cause,’ says Peter Selders, CEO of the Endress+Hauser Group.
World Water Day on 22 March 2025, under the slogan ‘Glacier Protection,’ highlights the central role of glaciers in securing global water resources. As the ice of many glaciers around the world is melting rapidly due to climate change, protecting them is crucial to ensure water availability for future generations. World Water Day 2025 calls for action. This is where the #endresswaterchallenge comes in.
